Oops. Guess I forgot about blogging for...oh, about 4.5 years. Surely a lot has happened, let me mind-flow through it:
Both dogs have passed on to greener pastures and my life has changed dramatically without them. I miss them terribly (and still see their phantoms about the house), but I also feel liberated. I went to Italy for 3 weeks and it was amazing. Went to Oregon with Lori, Zoe, and Tsehaye Mills' and it was amazing. Went to Oregon 2 years later with Kristy & MJ and it was amazing in completely different ways. Went to Niagara Falls and Maine with Lori and it was...you guessed it, amazing. Got a new nephew who is...yup, amazing. Went to New Mexico with Mickie...amazing. There was Punkin Chunkin and pink hair and a shaved head. Lost my father, found a scrabble club and sisterhood of word nerds. Ran the Warrior Dash and walked about 1000 miles of the Appalachian Trail, and found a sisterhood of hikers, too. Got elegant at Diner en Blanc, got stinky hiking the Continental Divide Trail in Colorado. Learned to knit, tried to learn to arial fabric dance, and apparently forgot how to blog properly.
There it is, 4.5 years captured as they flowed through my brain. I didn't intend this to be a grand introspection, but after that outpouring I feel immensely grateful for the warp and weft of my life. How amazing this life is, how full and rich are the love of family and friends, the thrill of shared adventures, and the brilliance of living every day curiously.
