Nothing to remind you of your humanity like taking the GRE test after you've been out of school for 10 years:
Verbal: 93%
Quantitative: 23%
I mentioned this to Hubbie. He looked at me incredulously and asked, in all seriousness, "How is it possible to know so little math?". Good question.
Anyway, I took the test because I'm thinking vaguely about applying to the doctoral program at SILS for fall 2006. Would be fun to get to do some research and have an ambition goal like that ahead of me. But can I self motivate that much? And can I stifle my jack-of-all-trade tendencies enough to focus on a single subject for years on end? Pretty tough questions.
